What is Microneedling?
Microneedling (collagen induction therapy) works by stimulating your skin to produce more collagen. The technique involves using multiple tiny, sterile needles to puncture the skin, causing a slight injury that stimulates the growth of new collagen-rich tissue. This process contributes to the structural integrity of the skin, resulting in a more youthful and glowing appearance. This treatment is excellent for minimizing imperfections in the skin such as fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and acne scars.
Microneedling
Our bodies have a natural process that reacts to injury by producing new cells and extracellular materials such as elastin and collagen in order to heal itself. The Rejuvapen NXT® microneedling system initiates this natural process by creating hundreds of temporary, micro-sized openings in your skin. These small openings are created with the disposable needle cartridge, which achieves more natural results without the use of thermal energy or chemicals applied to the skin.
While multiple sessions are typically recommended to achieve optimal results, depending on your specific goals, noticeable changes can be seen just one week after treatment and gradually improve as the body’s healing process begins to take effect. Side effects are typically similar to a mild sunburn, such as redness, tenderness, and some localized swelling.
Post treatment care is very important to achieving success with microneedling. Specific care instructions will be given at the time of your treatment.
Treatment includes: a lidocaine numbing application, double cleansing, Hyaron (highly purified hyaluronic acid) is used for the treatment, soothing & hydrating copper peptide complex repair cream applied post- treatment, and lastly, a LED Light Therapy session to calm the skin. A mini essentials kit for at-home post-treatment care is also included.
Stem Cell Application Post-treatment
For a more elevated skincare treatment, stem cell therapy utilizing ELEVAI Empower™, an exosome serum, can be applied post-treatment. Exosomes enhance the skin’s natural recovery process through a potent dose of exosomes, combined with hyaluronic acid, peptides and a biometric ceramide complex.
